Application developers are now going to be able to start developing integrated programmes for the social network popular with cyclists, CyclingBuddy.com. This is a strategic decision by the company and since its launch cyclists have logged over 150,000 miles.
They’ve also shared over 1000 cycling routes on the website and this has shown that there is a significant demand for their service.
The website currently boasts members from nearly 15 countries and the number of people sharing routes is incredible considering that the website only launched three months ago. The announcement that the company is going to be opening up its platform to different developers has suggested to people that it is serious about creating a significant platform for many different cycling services.
Tony Piedade, founder and CEO said ” CyclingBuddy is a great community of cyclists of all ages and abilities, all looking to find someone else to cycle with. There are a multitude of Apps out there that are extremely good at recording and monitoring performance.
We want to invite these App developers to integrate into CyclingBuddy.com. Its a great partnership! – we are really good at motivating people to cycle, while Apps are great at recording progress and performance once they have got “out of the door” – everybody wins”
