Television viewers will soon be able to enjoy a week long mini series called On The Move which explores transportation in the future. Audiences will be taken on an amazing journey through the mobility world and see its evolution like never before and the series will be reporting on the latest designs of vehicles, new and innovative technologies and global trends.
On The Move will be hosted by Ayesha Durgahee from CNN, and will give viewers a real insight into technical trends, advanced technology and exploring the issues regarding sustainability. Durgahee will be interviewing key figures in the mobility field and look forward to the groudbreaking developments that are expected to take place in the coming years.
Her guests will include the director of the design group Priestmangoode Paul Priestman, who will be discussing his high speed, non stop rail infrastructure known as Moving Platforms, and the Dutch former ESA astronaut and physicist Wubbo Ockels, who is aiming to revolutionise public transport with his solar panelled vehicle the Abu Dhabi Superbus.
In the first episode, Luigi Colani, the eccentric 83 year old industrial designer will be telling how the sea was the inspiration for his futuristic designs for transport. He is still working and is currently the Prof of design at the Chinese Tsinghua University. He is understandable adamant that the most ecological and innovative transport solutions will come from the far east.
