The TierraFilm Backlit range of new eco-friendly print products created by Ceres Media have been both approved and tested fully by CBS Outdoor and JCDecaux. CBS Outdoor is a part of the well known CBS Corporation and is one of the largest media groups with more than $2 billion worth of revenue generated from its outdoor division alone.
Within the UK CBS Outdoor is in charge of operating the entire London Underground infrastructure and also operates various transport assets, rail, and some of the Westfield Shopping Centres.
JCDecaux is one of companies dealing with hoarding and is the top company internationally for transport advertising and street furniture. The company has more than one million advertising panels spread throughout 55 countries and annually earns revenues over two billion euro. Within the UK the company operates a large variety of different formats on rail, roadside, and retail environments.
Both companies have tested the TierraFilm backlit products to see how suitable they were for use in terms of light diffusion, print quality, compatibility with existing infrastructure, and robustness. The product was found to meet the required standards and has been officially approved for use within these various units.
Chief executive of Ceres Media Alex Dowdeswell stated that with the new announcement that Hewlett Packard will use their products in commercial printers and now the approvals from JCDecaux and CBS Outdoor who are the product’s end users, it is clear that the brand owners and advertisers can now start to sue their products in campaigns. He added that it took a reasonable amount of time to complete all of the tests given the fact that they are very rigorous tests.
