Eco Velocity, an eco motor show, will be held in London this year, in the grounds of the Battersea Power Station. Running from the 8th to 11th September 2011 this 4 day event promises a display of the ultimate in green motoring. Car makers will be exhibiting their latest green models including hybrids, electric and low emission cars. Visitors have a chance to test drive these high tech cars on a specially designed track.
Most leading car manufacturers namely Ford, Fiat, Citroen, Hyundai, and Honda, Mitsubishi, Kia, Nissan, Renault, Peugeot, Seat, Volkswagen and Vauxhall will be in attendance. A highlight for many should be the Green Supercar Paddock where supercars like the Citroen Survolt will be on display.
Eco Velocity is an event not to be missed and there will be something for the whole family. Displays include The Green Supercar Paddock, The Honda my first licence, an intro to motorcycling, the Seat Young Drivers, a programme for 11-16 year olds, the What Car?, a parade of the best eco cars and The Eco Lab, the science behind eco-motoring.
Giles Brown, founder and organiser, commented that in the absence of the British Motor Show 2011, Eco Velocity will be the most important event of the year, displaying the best in eco cars for today’s motorists. The show will be organised by IMIE together with Metro, the world’s largest free newspaper. Associates for the event include the Mayor of London, WhatCar?, TfL, Source London, Get On and Green Fleet.
