A restructuring plan is shortly going to be unveiled by Sharp Solar which is going to see the company move its headquarters building which is currently located in Germany, to a new building in North Wales. It is thought that this is going to be a significant boost for the economy in Wales when it comes to solar panels and something that is going to be largely welcomed after cuts have just been made to the tariff incentives.
The announcement about the move has not yet been confirmed however it is widely expected that a Munich-based conference is about to announce the relocation. The company already have a presence in this part of Wales with a manufacturing facility that is responsible for employing 500 people.
The news is largely going to come as a surprise to many people as in recent months as it seemed as if the company had been pulling out of Wales slightly. Cutbacks at the plant based in Wales were planned and many people were bleak about the future employment situation from the company.
The company also have announced that they are going to be introducing new financing scheme which is going to allow people to install solar panels in their home through an intelligent financing scheme. The financing is going to allow people to borrow money to install solar products in their homes.
The company are developing new technologies when it comes to solar power so people are better able to take advantage of the feed in tariffs that are still in existence. Batteries are also going to become a major factor as these will allow people to have less of a reliance on commercial power suppliers through the installation of solar panels. Efficient storage batteries are thought to be a major development in the industry and resolve some serious problems related to solar panels.
